Privacy Policy

HomeEquityMatch ("we," "us," "our") is a home equity matching service operated by OPTIMAX AI LTD, a private limited company registered in England and Wales (company no. 16143914), registered office at 38 Sunnymede Avenue, Epsom, KT19 9TJ, United Kingdom. Our service is designed for consumers in the United States.

This policy explains what information we collect when you use homeequitymatch.com, how we use it, and — most importantly — who we share it with. We've written it in plain English because you should be able to understand exactly what happens to your information before you give it to us.

The short version: when you complete our quiz and submit your contact details, we share and sell that information to approved partners — lead networks and licensed loan officers or lending partners — so they can contact you about your home equity request. That is how our service works and how we make money. Everything below is the detail.

Who We Are — and Who We Are Not

We are a matching and referral service. We are not a lender, bank, or mortgage broker. We do not make loans, make credit decisions, quote rates, or pull your credit. The credit information you give us is self-reported — we never run a credit check. If a lender or loan officer contacts you after your request, any application, credit check, or loan decision happens between you and them, on their terms.

Information We Collect

When you use our quiz and submit a request, we collect:

Information you give us directly:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • State and ZIP code
  • Homeowner status (own or rent)
  • Estimated home value (in bands, e.g. "$200k–$400k")
  • Remaining mortgage balance (in bands)
  • The amount you'd like to access (in bands)
  • Self-reported credit score range
  • What you'd use the funds for
  • Your timeline

Information collected automatically when you submit:

  • Your IP address and browser/device information (user agent)
  • The date and time you gave consent, and the exact consent language you agreed to
  • A TrustedForm certificate URL (see "TrustedForm" below)
  • Whether your phone number was verified by SMS one-time code
  • Marketing parameters from the link you arrived on (such as a campaign identifier) and, where present, Meta advertising cookies (see "Cookies and Pixels" below)

We do not collect Social Security numbers, bank or financial account numbers, or credit reports. We do not run a credit pull.

How We Use Your Information

  • To match you with partners. This is the primary purpose. See the next section.
  • To verify your request is real. We verify your phone number with an SMS one-time code (via Twilio) and check that your email address is deliverable (via MillionVerifier). This protects you from impersonation and ensures partners receive genuine requests.
  • To document your consent. We store the consent language you agreed to, along with the timestamp, IP address, and browser information, and an independent TrustedForm certificate.
  • To operate and improve the site, including preventing fraud and abuse.
  • To measure advertising(see "Cookies and Pixels").

Who We Share Your Information With — Please Read This Section

When you submit a request, we sell and/or share your information with approved partners so they can contact you about it. Those partners fall into two categories:

  1. Lead networks — companies that receive consumer requests like yours and place them with lenders and loan officers in their network; and
  2. Licensed loan officers and lending partners — individuals and companies licensed to discuss home equity and mortgage products, who may contact you directly by phone, text, or email about your request.

We disclose partners by category rather than by name because the specific partner who receives your request depends on your state, your answers, and partner availability at the time you submit. All partners must be approved by us before receiving any consumer information.

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), this transfer is a "sale" and/or "sharing" of personal information. You have the right to opt out — see "Your Privacy Rights" below and our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page.

We also share information with service providers who process it on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes: Twilio (SMS verification), MillionVerifier (email verification), ActiveProspect/TrustedForm (consent certification), our database and hosting providers, and Meta (advertising measurement, as described below). We may also disclose information if required by law, or in connection with a business transfer.

We do not sell or share the personal information of anyone we know to be under 18 (or under 16).

Your Consent to Be Contacted (TCPA)

When you submit the quiz, you check a consent box giving your prior express written consent for HomeEquityMatch and one or more licensed loan officers / lending partners to contact you at the phone number and email you provided — including by autodialer, automated or prerecorded voice, and text message. The full consent language appears next to the checkbox at the point you agree to it. Consent is not a condition of any purchase, message and data rates may apply, and you can opt out of any partner's communications at any time (for example, by replying STOP to texts). We store a complete record of your consent: the exact wording, timestamp, IP address, and browser information.

TrustedForm

We use TrustedForm, an independent consent-certification service operated by ActiveProspect, Inc. TrustedForm's script runs on our form pages and creates an independent certificate documenting your visit and consent — this protects you and us by creating tamper-proof proof of exactly what you agreed to and when. The certificate URL is stored with your request and provided to the partner who receives it. You can learn more at activeprospect.com/privacy-policy.

Cookies and Pixels

We keep tracking minimal:

  • Meta (Facebook) pixel: fires when you submit the form — not on ordinary browsing — to measure our advertising. Where present, we also capture Meta's click and browser identifiers (the fbc/fbpcookie values) and send a matching server-side event to Meta. Meta's use of this data is governed by Meta's own privacy policy. You can opt out of Meta's ad targeting in your Facebook/Instagram ad preferences.
  • Essential cookies: used only for the site to function (for example, remembering your quiz progress within a session).

We do not run third-party analytics trackers on this site.

How Long We Keep Your Information

We keep your information while your request is active and for up to 24 months after your last interaction with us, after which it is deleted or anonymized. Consent records (consent text, timestamp, IP, TrustedForm certificate reference) may be kept longer where we need them to demonstrate legal compliance. You can request deletion at any time — see below — and we will honor it except where the law requires or permits us to retain specific records.

Your Privacy Rights

California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know— request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we've collected about you, the categories of sources, our purposes, and the categories of third parties we've disclosed, sold, or shared it to.
  • Delete— request that we delete the personal information we've collected about you.
  • Correct — request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Opt out of sale and sharing — direct us not to sell or share your personal information. Because our business model involves selling/sharing lead data, this right matters here: exercising it means we will not transfer your information to partners going forward.
  • Non-discrimination — we will never deny you the service, charge you differently, or retaliate for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise any of these rights, use our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page or email us at mike@optimax-ai.com. We will confirm receipt and respond within 45 days(extendable once by a further 45 days where the law allows, in which case we'll tell you). We verify requests by confirming control of the email address (and, where needed, matching details you provided). You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf; we will ask for proof of authorization.

We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a valid request to opt out of sale/sharing for that browser.

In the last 12 months (or since launch, if shorter), we have collected the categories of personal information listed under "Information We Collect" and have sold/shared the following categories to lead networks and licensed loan officers / lending partners: identifiers (name, email, phone, IP), and personal/commercial information you provided in the quiz (location, homeowner status, home value band, mortgage balance band, desired amount, self-reported credit range, intended use, timeline), together with consent records and the TrustedForm certificate.

Residents of other US states

Several other states (including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, and others) give residents similar rights of access, deletion, correction, and opt-out of sale or targeted advertising. We extend the process above to residents of any US state: submit your request via /do-not-sell or by email and we will handle it the same way.

Everyone else

Wherever you live, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to delete it, or ask us to stop sharing it. Same page, same email, same 45-day commitment.

International Data Transfer

We are a UK company serving US consumers. Your information is processed on servers in the United States and may be accessed from the United Kingdom for operations and support. We apply the same protections described in this policy regardless of where the data is processed.

Children

This site is intended for adults arranging home financing. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, email mike@optimax-ai.com and we will delete it.

Security

Personal information is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored in access-controlled systems. API keys and credentials are held server-side only. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your contact and financial-profile information as sensitive and restrict access accordingly.

Changes to This Policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date at the top and, for material changes, post a notice on the site. Continued use after a change means the updated policy applies.
